Lead Geomechanics Engineer

Teverra LLC is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Lead Geomechanics Engineer to spearhead its R&D and consulting activities in geomechanics. This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of industry experience in geomechanical modeling for drilling, completion, stimulation, and production applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of rock mechanics and be well-versed in industry best practices and workflows for geomechanical modeling. Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting diverse subsurface datasets including seismic data, well logs, well tests, image logs, mud logs, and drilling reports is essential. Candidates must have prior experience in both 1D and 3D geomechanical modeling and exhibit a forward-thinking, problem-solving mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

-          Lead R&D and commercial projects, managing a team of geomechanics engineers.

-          Conduct geomechanical modeling for oil & gas, geothermal, and carbon storage applications.

-          Analyze and interpret field data to evaluate rock mechanical properties and estimate in-situ stresses.

-          Integrate geomechanical characteristics with other subsurface data to optimize operations such as drilling, completion, stimulation, reservoir performance, and production.

-          Propose and develop innovative solutions for complex subsurface challenges.

-          Collaborate with clients and partners to deliver results and deploy new technologies in the field.

Required Qualifications:

Computational Geomechanics Engineer

Teverra LLC is seeking a Computational Geomechanics Engineer with expertise in numerical modeling, computational mechanics, and artificial intelligence. This role requires strong programming skills and the ability to develop 3D numerical models for rock mechanics, fluid flow, heat transfer, and their couplings in fractured systems. The ideal candidate should be capable of developing custom numerical codes and extending functionalities within existing computational software. We value innovative thinking and strong research capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

-          Conduct computational geomechanics research and apply advanced modeling techniques to geothermal energy, carbon storage, energy storage and oil & gas projects.

-          Develop and implement numerical models for hydraulic fracturing, CO₂ injection, and subsurface energy storage.

-          Apply machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance computational efficiency and problem-solving in geomechanics.

-          Integrate geomechanical characteristics with subsurface monitoring data to analyze and interpret underground evolution and processes.

TEVERRA LLC is seeking a full-time, mid to senior-level “Geothermal Geologist” with at least 5 years of post-MS/PhD industry or research experience in geothermal energy exploration and development, to join its growing geothermal team. This position will have a significant focus on data mining, new data collection, cleaning, analysis, and incorporation into geothermal system models. Preferred experience includes fieldwork, geothermal exploration, conceptual modeling, geophysical data collection and analysis, and resource evaluation. Projects will include both low and high enthalpy, in hydrothermal and enhanced geothermal systems. This role will also help in the enabling of oil and gas companies to transition to profitable geothermal energy solutions.

 

Job Duties:  

-      Build geothermal system conceptual models

-      Perform geothermal play fairway analysis

-      Perform geothermal resource characterization, quantification, and valuation

-      Perform static and dynamic reservoir modeling

This position will have a significant focus on data mining, new data collection, cleaning, processing, and maintaining the geological data that supports our geothermal exploration and development projects. Preferred experience includes energy (subsurface) related large database management, finding and acquiring public data, GIS-based project building, and geospatial analysis. Work will be related to geothermal exploration and development, including both low and high enthalpy, in hydrothermal and enhanced geothermal systems. This role will also help in the enabling of oil and gas companies to transition to profitable geothermal energy solutions.


Job Duties: 

Data Management:

-      Find and collate public datasets for existing and future projects.

-      Organize, input, and update geological data into centralized databases.
